Do I need a website?
No. Your FoodPlug storefront works as your website — a clean, shareable page with your menu, prices and checkout, with no building or hosting required.
Can customers still order through WhatsApp?
Yes. Keep using the channels you already use. Share your FoodPlug link in WhatsApp, Instagram or your community group, and orders come back organized in one place.
Can I offer pickup and delivery?
Yes, both. Set your pickup times and locations, or your own delivery zones and fees. Customers choose at checkout, and every order arrives with the details attached.
What does FoodPlug charge on a $100 order?
On a $100 order the customer pays $105, plus any sales tax on what you sell. The $5 is FoodPlug's customer fee. Your fee is 10%, so $90 of the $100 is yours, along with any sales tax and delivery you charge. Both FoodPlug fees include tax, so nothing is added on top of them. New vendors pay 0% for their first 90 days or 200 qualifying orders, so that same order is $100 to you.
When do I get paid?
Through Stripe, straight into your bank account. Payouts go out every Friday, so the weekend's takings reach you before the next one. Your first payout can take a little longer while Stripe verifies your account.
Do I need technical knowledge?
Not at all. If you can send a message and take a photo, you can run FoodPlug. Most vendors are set up and taking orders in minutes.
